During dry grinding, small sized concrete particles are generated that can get into your lungs. So it’s better safe than sorry and select the right safety equipment suitable to you before grinding.

Start grinding: Start concrete floor grinding with a commercial grinder and a vacuum system to remove the dust created by the grinding process. If you see shiny areas or light scratch marks you must continue to grind the surface and repeat. After that, wet grind the surface with the help of a residential floor maintainer fitted with a diametric pad. Wet concrete floor grinding is ideal for most residential applications to eliminate dusting and making the final clean-up easier. Cross-hatching is a necessary technique to ensure that the concrete floor has been ground thoroughly and evenly.

Final Cleaning: Cleaning can be done wet or dry. You can use a hose and a push broom to simulate the common tools that can be used to clean the surface. It is very important to examine the concrete in order to verify that the proper surface profile has achieved.
